For Sarah it's been over 2 years now since her last panic attack.
We both still have our normal life stresses to deal with, but nothing
over the top like it used to be. When I had my first
panic attack it came right "out of the blue", and
I thought I was having a heart attack, literally. But, being in
my mid-twenties I also knew that this wasn't likely.
I didn't want to embarrass myself by going to the emergency room
in case this wasn't a heart attack. The thought of going to the
hospital anyway brought up more social anxiety. So, this is when
I started with a therapist working out my issues.
What I tried that didn't exactly work
I went to my therapist for a while, off an on really over the years.
Talk therapy helped some to relieve my stress. I've also taken anti-anxiety
medications and anti-depressants as well.
This worked some, for some of the time. But, I don't like taking
pills and therapy after a while got to be unaffordable, even with
a company insurance plan. But, neither pills nor exploring my childhood
in therapy gave me the technique to deal with panic attacks as they
came up.
What did work well for me and my wife
Even though Sarah has a different story than me, we both arrived
at the same place in regard to being cynical and just plain tired
of trying to get the necessary help for our panic disorders. We
helped each other the best we could when either of us were struck
and stuck with a bout of anxiety.
But, then I found something when I was searching online. I found
the Panic Away
plan that gives people a series of techniques to help deal with
panic attacks as they arise. Sarah and I both read the instructions
attentively and found we each still had a little spark of hope that
this may work.
What we recommend
Sarah and I both recommend the Panic
Away techniques to get rid of unwanted anxiety without the
use of pills, psychotherapy, acupuncture or other traditional or
alternative methods. Believe me, between the two of us, we've tried
it all. The Panic Away system is no risk since it has an 8 week
guarantee. It's simple, easy to use, and once you try the techniques
and experience success, you'll say, "Why didn't someone come
out with this before?"
